Data Scientist & Bioinformatics Engineer based in Amsterdam, focusing on translational medicine and AI-driven health analytics.
Hi there, welcome to Siwen’s website!
I’m a data scientist with a passion for translating complex biological data into actionable insights. My background in bioinformatics and machine learning has allowed me to develop innovative solutions for a variety of healthcare challenges. I’m excited to share my work and collaborate with others in the field to drive progress in translational medicine.
My story
I design and productionize analytical workflows that translate multi-omics and clinical signals into actionable diagnostics. Over the last seven years I have led machine learning and bioinformatics programs for tumor and rare disease detection, pathogen surveillance, and cell and gene therapy support. I thrive at the interface of R&D and engineering-pairing rigorous statistics with scalable pipelines so clinicians and regulatory teams can trust the science.
Currently, I am preparing for my MSc in Data Science at Leiden University (2025–2027). Previously, as a Middle Bioinformatics Engineer at Precision Scientific and GrandOmics Biosciences, I built MRD analytics, whole-genome doubling QC strategies, targeted capture assays, and pathogen intelligence systems used across oncology and infectious disease portfolios. Earlier, at Geneis Beijing, I co-developed liquid-biopsy MSI assays and translational biomarker pipelines for lung and gastric cancer studies.
I’m open to collaborations around clinical AI, translational data science, and digital health productization-feel free to drop me a note at aristazhang521@outlook.com or call (+31) 0626049080.
